Founded by R.H. Boyd, Preston Taylor, and J.C. Napier in 1904, Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Co. is the second oldest black-owned and operated bank in the U.S. The Nashville-based firm also holds the distinction of being the first black-owned bank in Tennessee; and the fifth largest BE Bank headed by a woman.
